Greetings,
Throughout 2011 many clients have asked us if we’ll be offering Cloud Hosting at some point and now I can finally say “Yes”, and very soon too. We’ll be doing Cloud Hosting on a new brand called AtomicVPS (http://www.atomicvps.com) but the same team will be behind it with me at the helm. We’ll be running the first cloud out of the New Jersey facility but I hope to add systems in the UK and possibly even Australia at some point in 2012. At the moment I just have a blog up on AtomicVPS and I’ve been posting regular updates there and blogging about my vision for the new brand.
AtomicVPS will offer the following:
Linux Cloud VPS (fully managed)
Windows Cloud VPS (fully managed)
Plesk Shared Cloud Hosting (Linux and Windows with Plesk 10)
cPanel Shared Cloud Hosting
Plesk Reseller Cloud Hosting
cPanel/WHM Reseller Cloud Hosting
Our Shared and Reseller Hosting is essentially the same type of hosting we do now but backed by our cloud infrastructure.
A few blog posts that might interest you:
Custom cPanel Theme Development
We are going to be doing a lot of new stuff, especially on the Linux stuff with a lot of cPanel development, new operating system and highly optimised software replacements for the traditional Apache and MySQL. Everything should be fully automated too from our new central billing platform. Email is going to be a lot more robust too with better spam filters and a different approach to handling outbound mail.
We are going to open with a short Beta Launch phase around January 10th. During this phase clients can try out the service for free on all Shared and Reseller plans and if you’d like to test drive your own Cloud VM (VPS) we will only charge you any licencing costs (like Windows OS and Plesk or cPanel control panels. Also as a thank you to any Beta testers we will extend the free period for a few months after we go fully live.
